For liquid meals in abundance—plus smoothies, shakes, and more—head to Oracles Juice Bar. If you're in the mood for sharing plates, Danclair’s offers a wide selection inspired by the Caribbean, Europe, and the Americas.
Still, great food in Brixton starts with its Afro-Caribbean heritage, and what better place to highlight than Fish, Wings & Tings? It brings the vibrant flavors of the Caribbean to your plate with style and flair. Situated in the heart of the village—Unit 3, Granville Arcade, to be precise—this lively eatery, founded in 2012, is known for bold, mouth-watering dishes like jerk chicken, pepper prawns, and their famous saltfish fritters.
Gremio de Brixton

The area is renowned for its numerous pubs—such as the Duke of Edinburgh and Brixton Brewery—as well as its vibrant nightlife venues like Electric Brixton, and Phonox. Our personal favourite? The O2 Academy or Hootananny, which we’ll share more on below.

What is now known as Hootananny Brixton was originally named the George Canning after a Conservative politician, before a brief hiatus as the Hobgoblin from 2003 to 2007. Sophia Yates and her brother Kit Fraser then took over the venue and rebranded it as Hootananny Brixton. Hootananny is renowned for its eclectic atmosphere and diverse music and is a legendary live music venue in the area.
